Keep an operating building usable during work
Describe whether staff, customers, tenants, or visitors remain on site, and which restroom or loading access will close. Temporary toilets may need to serve a different group from the construction crew. A container may need to leave before the last minor repair is complete. Set these decisions against the building's operating hours rather than just a contractor's calendar.
Plan a sorting area before demolition begins
Identify reusable fixtures, recyclable packaging, ordinary debris, and material requiring specialist review. Decide who has authority to remove stored contents or business property. If repair work reveals uncertain material, pause its inclusion in the general load and seek appropriate guidance. Do not let an urgent reopening date become a reason to treat every item as accepted construction waste.
