Coordinate vertical work with ground-level loading
If debris comes from upper floors, ask the project manager to define the route through the building and the times when loading is allowed. Keep occupants away from the work area and follow the site's approved handling plan. Do not assume a roll-off can sit under a canopy or inside a bay: discuss overhead clearance, door operation and collection space with the provider.
Use exchanges to support the renovation sequence
Describe which phase produces bulky light material and which produces dense demolition debris. Separate special items and suspect material instead of hiding them in a mixed load. If the work requires exchanges, reserve access appointments with the building manager in advance. The City's waste resources can help frame material questions, but the rental agreement must establish acceptance and appropriate disposal handling for the actual load.
Honolulu building-project roll-off terms
Request material categories, weight terms, included rental time, delivery, collection and exchanges. State loading appointments and access restrictions clearly. Ask how extra time, an unsuccessful visit or a change in demolition materials is handled.
