Protect the approach and the usable property
Describe gates, landscaping, overhead branches and any change in slope near the container. Ask what working clearances and surface protection the provider needs. Keep access to occupied parts of the home practical throughout the rental. If materials will be carried around the building, plan that route without crossing garden areas or paths that the owner expects to remain undisturbed.
Make phases visible in the waste estimate
A bathroom strip-out followed by a room cleanout produces a different mixture from furniture removal alone. Identify tile, masonry, lumber and fixtures separately. Keep paint, chemical containers and suspect products out until their handling is established. Ask whether a smaller heavy-material load or an exchange would be appropriate, without assuming a particular size or option is available for the address.
Compare Hockessin phased-project allowances
Request the included weight and time, accepted materials, collection conditions and any exchange terms. Explain the loading sequence and access constraints consistently. Ask how an extended contractor schedule would change the rental so an uncertain finish date is visible in the comparison.
