Identify products before emptying shelves
Set aside paint, automotive fluids, batteries, electronics, and unidentified containers while you obtain appropriate disposal guidance. CSWD offers special-material resources, but acceptance and any appointment conditions should be checked for the actual items. Do not describe these as ordinary garage debris in a rental request or pour remaining products together to save space.
Protect the work area for the next phase
Choose a loading sequence that leaves the doorway usable for repairs and deliveries. Tell the provider about any narrow approach, turnaround limitation, or surface concern. If a new structure or interior fit-out follows, ask whether packaging and construction debris change the accepted load or collection timing. Preserve access for retrieval when the garage fills with replacement materials.
Compare clearance and repair-stage costs
Ask about accepted materials, load limits, rental days, delivery, collection, and additional hauls. Identify any separate handling or disposal arrangement needed for items excluded from the container.
